About Me

I’m Bryant Tan, a freelance coder working as an individual with many years’ experience, specialising in programming and HTML/CSS website design

quoth my website.

I’m currently a student at St Paul’s School, London and my primary interests/hobbies/activities include computing; maths; physics; rock climbing; sailing + windsurfing; camping; mountain biking; hiking; martial arts (black-belt karate); music (violin, piano); photography; juggling. I think ultimately I’m a techie / scientist sort of person who also likes lots of other things…

My plan in life right now is to avoid screwing up university entries. I hope to end up studying something closely relating to Physics and Maths. The Natural Sciences course at Cambridge seems perfect so I’m currently make an attempt to get in; Physics at Imperial also presents itself as a good option.

After uni I really have no idea what I’ll end up doing. I was once considering finance but the really interesting stuff seems to be still happening in the tech world despite the end of the .com boom (e.g. Google Wave, for which I’m still hoping to get an invite at some point…) so I’m keeping my options open.
